Kingspan Building Fabric Insulation - back to top

Kingspan Building Fabric Insulation

Type : Animation

Kingpan Insulation asked us to create an animation showing how their range of products are typically used behind rainscreen cladding systems.

Normally animations are either vector (toon) or software (shaded) rendered but this animation was created with both to be more stylised and create a wow factor as as model changes for grey shade to colour.

Shackerley Sureclad Systems - back to top

Shackerley Sureclad Systems

Type : Various
We worked with Shackerley to create not only animations of their Sureclad Access and Hanging systems; but also to create an interactive 3D presentation of each to display how the systems are assembled.

The animations are using both vector and software rendering to add style and create a wow factor.

The interative 3D presentations were created for the Viewpoint Player and we also designed and created the interface with a colour scheme that to suit the client's website.

Grow Cabinets UK - back to top

Grow Cabinets UK

Type : Animation
Grow Cabinets asked us to produce a clear animation to convey how their grow cabinets are assembled.

There was a lot of detail involved in this animation, even down to which direction the screwdriver should be turning when fixing each part. We were supplied parts of the more complicated items so we could model in 3D more accurately.

Spot colour was added at key points, for example, we added colourful hands to indicate two people are needed to lift the top of the cabinet, the colours were in contrast to the wooden textures that were used throughout the animation.

Easylift Machine Ltd - back to top

Easylift Machine Ltd

Type : Animation
This is another type of informative animation to show how the Easylift carpet handling machine is used to place heavy rolls of carpet onto racks.

We went to the company's office where we filmed the method step-by-step so that it can be mimicked in the animation. The final piece was having the video footage and the animation played side by side at various stages to show how easy it is to use.

The animation was presented on a white background which helped make the carpet colours and metal stand out more clearly. Also, the metal had a blue sheen to it so each part can be seen more clearly too rather than it being black.

Kingspan Insulated Panels Longspan X-Dek - back to top

Kingspan Insulated Panels Longspan X-Dek

Type : Animation
Kingspan approached us to create an animation to show how the Longspan X-Dek panels are placed onto an industrial shed type of building using a Rotaboy to pick up the panels.

We had a lot of communication with Kingspan about the dimensions of the panels and the structure of the building to make the animation as accurate as possible.

The 3D characters drilling into the wall panels were angular so that the emphasis was more on the panels being drilled rather than the characters drilling. Also, the panels being animated on the roof and the walls over a timescale looked really stylised- especially with the different use of camera shots.

Kingspan Energi Panel - back to top

Kingspan Energi Panel

Type : Animation
Due to the success of the X-Dek animation, Kingspan asked us to produce a promotional animation for their new Energi Panel product.

This was a technically challenging animation to do in such a short space of time ready for the product launch. Different types of effects were used in this animation including keyframing, motion paths, lattices and colour animation; fades and speed editing; and compositing and compiling captions and images.

This animation is used internationally within the Kingspan group of companies, for example in France where Kingspan wanted the animation without the captions so they can add the French narrative themselves.

Klargester BioDisc - back to top

Klargester BioDisc

Type : Animation
Klargester asked us to create an animation to explain the workings of their range of BioDisc High Performance Package Sewage Treatment Plants for Residential Applications.

The snippet shown here is only a tiny fraction of the original.

Shackerley Sureclad Rainscreen - back to top

Shackerley Sureclad Rainscreen

Shackerley approached us to create realistic renders of three buildings that where copied from photographs. These renders would then be changed interactively depending on the sort of panel the client would like to see on which building.

These renders were put into an interface similar to Viewpoint Player where the client could change the panel colours to see what it would look like on each style of building.

It was great to show off the realistic rendering skills and see how the panels look as they were images rather then a whole interactive model.

Kingspan Thermataper zero ODP System - back to top

Kingspan Thermataper zero ODP System

Type : Animation
This flash animation demonstrates Kingspan's Thermataper roof insulation system.

Tapered insulation slabs are bonded to old "leaky" flat roofs and covered with a waterproof membrane

The clients key requirements were an "illustration style" of render along with the rain falling and draining down the tapered slope into the gutter outlet.

Kingspan TEK Building System

Type : Animation
The Kingspan TEK Building System comprises SIP panels connected with a unique jointing system for walls, roofs and intermediate floors using I-beams or open web joists.

The system is manufactured off-site.

This animation demonstates the easy and speedy on-site assembly
